Risk Management in Agriculture by Small Producers; Focus on Index-based Crop Insurance and Warehouse Receipts.

This section is the result of a bibliographic synthesis work on the theme of agricultural risks and is divided into three parts. The first part describes agricultural risks (nature, characteristics, measurement, and causes). The second part presents the different strategies for managing agricultural risks, depending on the level of intervention in the risk chain: preventing or addressing the risk. The third part is devoted to private and public tools for risk management.
